How to Stop Arguing With Your Thoughts | Samikshya Writes
I Know I Did My Best
You did what you could with what you knew at the time. This space is for the days when your mind keeps asking for one more answer, even though your heart has already given its best.

There comes a moment when you realize that your mind is no longer searching for an answer.
It is searching for another argument.
For a long time, I believed that if I thought a little longer, remembered a little more, or understood a little deeper, I would finally find peace.
Instead, I found another question waiting for me.
The conversations continued long after they had ended.
The memories returned, asking me to explain them one more time.
I kept answering.
Until one day I became tired.
Not tired of feeling.
Tired of arguing.
I realized I had done my best with what I knew at the time.
I cared sincerely.
I made the choices I believed were right.
I cannot rewrite yesterday with the wisdom I have today.
So I stopped trying.
That doesn’t mean my thoughts disappeared.
Some of them still visit.
Some still protest.
The difference is that I no longer sit down to debate every one of them.
Instead, I return to the life waiting for me.
I make my tea.
I work.
I write.
I thank God before I sleep.
Slowly, my attention is finding its way back home.
Perhaps peace isn’t found by winning every argument inside your mind.
Perhaps peace begins the moment you gently say,
“I have done my best.”
And for today, that is enough.
